What our neighbors say Portage County will look like when adults model responsible drinking:

• Safer roads!
• Adults won't permit or condone underage drinking.
• People will bring designated drivers when going out to drink.
• Church picnics won't make the beer tent the focus of activities.
• The priority of family celebrations will be family - not alcohol.
• There will be wedding receptions where you aren't embarrassed by a drunk relative.
• There will be fewer loudmouths at kids' sporting events.
• Less domestic abuse, child abuse and crime in general.
• Community events are either alcohol-free or alcohol is in a confined area where no one under 21 is allowed.
• Less access to alcohol (not in grocery stores, gas stations, higher prices/taxes on it)
• Bartenders refuse service to intoxicated persons.
• Parents don't provide alcohol for their kids or their friends.
• Higher fines and penalties for drinking and driving.
• Individuals have knowledge of effects and risks of alcohol(how much they can drink)
• All family oriented community events are "safe" to bring your family to.
